Configuration and Connection to Minimal VM based on Windows Server 2025 Datacenter
To initiate the server, launch the virtual machine via Azure.
- After purchasing and starting the VM, locate its IP address. You can find this information in your Azure account. To do so:
- Select the virtual machine from the list.
- Click on the “Overview” tab.
- The IP address will be displayed under the “Public IP address” section.
- To connect to the server, port 3389 TCP must be open in the Azure network settings
- To connect to the virtual machine, execute the “Remote Desktop Connection” shortcut by pressing “Win + R” on your keyboard.
- In the prompt window, type “mstsc” and click “OK”
- Follow these steps:
- In the <Computer> field, enter the “Public IP аddress” of the virtual machine
- In the <Username> field, enter the login you used when creating the VM
- Click the “Connect” button
- Enter the password you specified when creating the virtual machine and click “OK”
- Check the box and proceed by clicking “Yes.”
- After connecting to the VM, a window with parameters for configuring diagnostic data will open. Select one of the available parameters and click “Accept“.
- Finally, open the Server Manager from the Start menu.
Now you can use your completely clean Minimal VM based on Windows Server 2025 Datacenter.
