Connecting and Configuring Minimal Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS
After purchasing and starting the VM, you need to know its IP address, which you can find in your Amazon account.

- Connecting to the VM using the PuTTY application. You can download it at the following link – Download
- In the left panel, navigate to the “SSH” section, and then to “Auth.”
- In the “Auth” section, click “Browse” and specify the path to the .ppk file you received earlier.
- Return to the “Session” home page, enter the IP address of the VM, and click “Open.”
- In the opened console you will need to enter the login ubuntu.
- You can view the parameters of your virtual machine using the following commands:
$hostnamectl — General information
$cat /etc/*elease — Release information
$uname -r — Kernel version
